Is a "hub" a threaded opening, or is a knock out in a four square box considered a hub also, as it pertains to 314.23 (F) and (H)?

I take a hub to also mean a female threaded opening. Much like such as are cast on an FS box, cast in like on a high bay, bolted on like weatherproof enclosures, or added like a Meyers hub. You can't technically 'thread wrenchtight into the enclosure or hubs' if you're using a knockout box. It seems that the code doesn't want support to depend on the weight bearing on a locknut (which we all know split far too easily).
