Ceiling fan is driving a collegue crazy because it hums. Changed out existing one with a Hunter and still humming more than expecteded. Measured voltage = 127-128V... to which POCO replied "everything is fine". Hum is the same regardless of whether controlled by single pole wall switch or speed control. Have taken the fan home, hung and it only hums a bit at low speeds as expected. House is wired with EMT. It is a MWBC - could this be a neutral problem? Ideas?

The fan hums because it doesn’t know the words...

The fan hum is probably no different in the two locations it has been installed. What has changed is the acoustics of the room and ceiling material, which makes the hum more prevalent in one location, verses the other.

I doubt there is anything wrong at all.
