Hello Guru's.

Central AC going in my house in a couple weeks. My brother is a licensed Master Electrician in MA. However, for the last several years has only done commercial electrical for the company he works with.

We're getting a Trane system. The HVAC technician said I need a 30 Amp GFI breaker to a disconnect mounted on the house. My brother is going to tie all this together. I went out and bought some PVC conduit, 10-2 UF cable, 30 Amp GFI breaker for my panel, etc. I also got an Eaton 30 Amp fusible Pullout disconnect and two Type NOS 30 Amp fuses. Will this work? I couldn't find any documentation on the Trane XB13 condenser to tell me otherwise.

The Air Handler will be easy. 120V 15 Amp to a power switch/recepticle for us.

Wondering if this disconnect box with the fuses will work?

Thanks

I would say some of the advice you have been given is incorrect already. Explanations and advice would be in the category of a DIY thread and not allowed by Forum Rules. I;m sure your brother, as a master electrician, will know what to do.
