Is this an old unit because I have never seen a unit without the MCA on the nameplate.

i see this a lot as I am 1 of 3 electricians that work fo an hvac company. It mostly happens (that I know of) on the cheaper brands. I would start with any amperes reading on the compressor and the fan motor. Or talk to the manufacture withy model and serial number.
