We do a fair amount of industrial controls work. We have an opportunity to start doing HVAC temperature controls work. I'm not worried about our ability to do the work, but I don't really have any experience estimating these jobs, and am having trouble finding labor units and or a software for estimating. I use EBM for electrical but they don't have HVAC controls. I have heard that these jobs are priced by the number of points? Can anyone give me some insight and tips or let me know of a reasonable software for this work. Thanks.

The only insight I can give you is that I have a friend that ran the HVAC controls division of a top 50 EC and they got out of it completely a couple years ago.
