HI MIKE,
MY QUESTION IS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RECIRCULATING PIPING SYSTEM AND PUMP FOR WATER ,DOES THAT NOT CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF THAT TUB EVEN IF HAS A AIR PUMP. THE DEFINITION OF A HYDROMASSAGE TUB HAS THREE ELEMENTS, PIPING SYSTEM, PUMP, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Re: HYDROMASSAGE BATHTUBS

We already discussed this here: hydromassage bathtub

Even though the definition per the NEC speicifically includes the circulation of water, UL still considers bathtubs with air circulating equipment in place of water circulating equipment as hydromassage bathtubs and therefore I believe they shall be installed and wired perPart VII of Artcile 680.

Re: HYDROMASSAGE BATHTUBS

THANKS AGAIN VINNY
