I believe I know the answer to this but considering it is being used in a multi family dwelling (36 units total) I would like a second opinion.

We are running circuits for condensers. Using NM for the circuits. The condenser is:

Min circ: 16.4
Max brkr 20

Since 14 is good for 20 amp in the 60degree column I told the guys to use it. I know 240.4 is not used in this situation since we would use 440 but can someone just please agree with me.

Everyone has that fear of a 20amp breaker on 14 wire.

The plan is o.k. unless you are under the '11 Code.
I don't have immediate access, but I believe in the '11 #14 @ 60? is 15 amps.

Phew!!!

Phew!!!

No, we are currently enforcing 08. Thanks for the quick reply, Sometimes a second opinion just seems to solidify things.
