I have taken some pictures with my digital camera that I want to post, the images are bitmaps and huge, I am kinda ignorant of how to go about sizing them so I can post them on here....

To resize them, load them into Paint or Paintbrush, then press "Ctrl-W" and you can rezise them by any percentage. Usually one dimension of 600 pixels is plenty large enough. Anything larger is a problem for users with dial-up.

When you save them, save them a JPGs not BMPs. The file will be smaller still.

It would be best to convert your files to jpeg. If you have windows then open your program in accessories called paint. Open the picture then use the "save as" feature and save as a jpeg.

Thanks for your help, I just posted a picture in a post:grin:

I just saw that post. What I'm curious to know is why the pic doesent show up in the post, meaning what did you do that makes us have to click on it to view it?

He clicked the paperclip to attach it, rather than the yellow-sky mountain 'image' to post a photo.

I cliked on the paper clip for this thread I just posted. Do you see the pictures or do you have to click on it to see them. :-?

I see them.

I clicked on the paper clip and uploaded from my computer.
You had to use the Paperclip button twice, right?

First time to upload, second to insert. If uploaded files are not inserted, just their links appear upon posting, like this...
