I am running a new service based on an 800 AMP service. Please tell me what the ideal size that a wire would be for a parallel and I am working on a 2011 NEC, I am in Tampa, Florida if that helps. Thanks, I greatly appreciate any help.

Tell us what you think and why you think it.

Why don't you have an EC doing this?

I've been working as an electrician for fourteen years and I am now working towards my electrical contractor's license in 2016, It is also my first time doing an 800 AMP service, I appreciate any help. Thanks, by the way, this is an overhead service, the distance is also about 75 feet from the transformer to the disconnect.

Okay, so after fourteen years you should have an idea of what the answer is and you will certainly need to know these types of answers when you take your exam so, look in the code book and work your way to what you think the answer is.

Post your answer here and show how you came to your conclusion and then someone can critique your answer.

This is my first service, I am distributing this power to eleven unit apartments. Thanks
So who is overseeing your installation?

Your profile says your are a GC, there has to be an EC involved that can help you.

Fine but you haven't answered Jumpers question as to what would be your first step for a 200 amp service nor who is overseeing you installation so with that said, I am closing this thread in accordance with the forum rules.
