I am sizing the feeders for a 200amp residential load center off a meter. I am figuring 2/0 for the feeders (Table 310.15(B)(6)) and a #4 for the ground (Table 250.66). Is that correct? Also what section do I use for the grounding conductor from the panel to the ground rod? We are using the 2008 code. I know the NEC does not require a ground from the meter to the load center, but I have been told that the local inspectors don't see it that way and just pull the ground and drive another rod by the load center location. Comments and questions welcomed.

Look at Table 250.66 to size your grounding electrode conductor, and Table 250.122 for your equipment grounding conductor.

We buy meterbases with the neutral lug already bonded to the can. Cooper B-Line is one type.
