He could get Double your offer on eBay, + the suckers may pay over 10 times that much in shipping charges.
 
Sounds like a great deal. I've never seen 1000' spool though. Our suppliers only carry 500' and 2500' spools.

It was a supply house cut that had been spooled onto an empty THHN reel.

I'd never seen #12 XHHW, but then again, I don't ever work in hopsitals. ;)
 
We've used #12 XHHW. Extremely hard to strip. We usually squeeze it first with the back of our pliers before trying to remove the insulation. I'll take THHN any day.
 
Sorry I stuck the ol' /2 in there. I knew you were using XHHW. I had a long day and was excited that I got a chance to get on my computer and I wasn't thinking. Sometime I have to fight for it's use. I don't know who is worse, the Mrs. or the kids. It is still a good deal though.

I am in the same situation.

Todays goal is installing a NIC card in an older PC I have and getting that setup for the wife and Kids and moving my machine to my own space.
