Does anyone know if the IAEI recognizes ICC electrical certifications?

ICC is the model code and does IAEI administer a nationally recognized acredited exam?

As far as I know, the IAEI administers a residential and master exam. In addition, they also recognize exams administered by the NCPCCI. The ICC also recognizes NCPCCI exams; I was just wondering if the IAEI recognizes ICC exams.

IAEI recognizes IAEI, ICC recognizes ICC.

Your state may recogniz one or both, however. Here in Utah, you must have one of the two to be licensed.

I agree with Ryan. I contacted the International Office of the IAEI to see if the ICC certifications had equivalency and/or could be applied towards IAEI certification. The answer was a BIG FAT NO!

Many of the individual states are working toward licensure reciprocity among states, but to my knowledge there is little interest in the private certification world.

Yes, I know for a FACT they do.....I have the ICC 1 and 2 family dwellings and they recip. the IAEI for there version as well....I know this for a FACT because I have both cards to prove it...and I only took the test for the ICC...
