Last week, went to the Utah Chapter of the IAEI meeting up in Northern Nevada. First IAEI meeting in a while, that I have been to. Took four classes, got all kinds of CEU's, and met some great people. Some guy(s) from "The Forum" here even showed up:D. Raider1, and Ryan 618, were there in full capacity - Chris is the new Chapter president, and excellent teacher.

Talk about stroke - these guys had people in from the CMP's and other "representatives of the industry", for a Q & A class to top it all off.

Bang for the buck, this was probably one of the best possible ways to keep an ear close to what the industry is doing, and given me reason to join ( not mention that I won a FREE NEC code book in a drawing) with what I thought might be a distant group. Rough count was between 65 to 90 people there, and they came from all spectrums (contractors electricians, reps, inspectors) of the electrical industry.

The association appears well worth the effort to join (as an associate), and offers communication up, as well as down line, in regard to direction of the NEC. Interested in hearing from NON inspectors in regard to being an associate member, seems pretty positive, just looking for reinforcement.
