Been cracking the books for a while now. Took and passed the ICC E3 Electrical Plans Examiner exam today.

Way to go, congratulations! I just passed my E2 exam on Wednesday. Thinking about taking the E3 next. Anything in general I should brush up on?

Exams were similar. More calculations , but all were small calculations. I used the Plan Review Study Guide by IAEI which was very helpful. I would definitely say this study guide was very similar to the test questions. Also quite a few plan questions based on drawings. They were kinda hard to see. If you passed the E2 ,with some brush up as I suggested, you’ll pass too. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, and your advice. I’ve been off a couple of months and took the opportunity to bury my nose back in the code book. I passed my masters 10 years ago, but I wish I would of pursued my E2 and E3 back then. Anyway its like riding a bike right? Thanks again!
