Ice cube relays

I was just wondering, do they make an ice cube relay with '480 volt coil?? Ive always seen 120 v and less, and always used them, but I was wondering do they make and did they ever make a 480 v.

I think the NFPA 79 will not allow a anything about 240 v, for control voltage in these days. I dont have that code book with me.

Brother,

I see relays in a box with 480vac, and like you say the 'ice cube' type went up to 240vac,

I imagine they had them way back when, not the safest install IMO.

Part of the problem in finding these may be with the contact rating of the relay. If you do happen to find any with a 480 volt coil the contact rating (inductive or resistive) will be relatively small. Just curious, what are you looking to switch ?
