Ice cuber as hvac equipment or appliance

Would an ice cuber like you see in restaurants that hold ice cubes or make ice cubes count as appliance or not according to NEC 2017 Article 422? If not then would it count as HVAC in compliance with NEC 2017 Article 440? I have plans that show direct wired ice cuber without any disconnecting means in sight but has lockable breaker and that breaker is not within sight.
 
HVAC-Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning. I see nothing that would allow an ice machine to be considered HVAC equipment.
 
Yes an appliance right out of Article 100.

Utilization equipment, generally other than industrial, that is normally built in standardized sizes or types and is installed or connected as a unit to perform one or more functions such as clothes washing, air-conditioning, food mixing, deep frying, and so forth
