S SeanKelly Member May 4, 2007 #2 I did a couple in washington. We used a 16" chainsaw instead of a hot knife. Little more clean up but it worked well

M -marty Senior Member Location Alaska May 5, 2007 #3 I used a router went fast, big mess. I had a helper who used an electric chain saw. I think that worked better. We went for enough depth that the romex was 1-1/4 back. After inspection we took a can of foam and sealed it in.
