Idaho apprentice needs help

 I am a first year apprentice in Idaho and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get/find help with my class/homework. I never took algebra in school and am having a hard time keeping up. Most of it I have been able to figure out, but with a few questions, I think just a "push in the right direction" is all I need. Thank You. -Chad

Some tutoring or some night classes at your local community college or high school are my suggestions.

If you want something quicker than a formal course as others have suggested, you may want to give "Algebra For Dummies" or a similar title a whirl.

Don't let the title turn you off -- I've turned to this series many times to get my feet wet in some area where I had no earthly no clue. They've always been informative and made even the dullest of topics fun, even entertaining at times.

I love Books

I love Books

If your teacher is using "a book" on algebra, that book is on line in synopsis form www.cliffnotes.com and www.sparknotes.com. This will outline the highpoints or even walk you through a course/book.

Of course U might even go to an old book store and look for a machinist hand book or even an old calculus book, both have extensive diagrams and there basic formula?s associated to them, good luck, stay hungry for knowledge and ?Welcome to the forum.?

Another option too is form a study group with a couple of people. This can be a good way to learn a complicated subject. It is also good at forming friendships that might pay off in the future, or later in school. :)

There is a website that I used when I was having trouble with math. PM me if you're interested.

Good Luck!

Ugly's is a electrical-references book that is probably in about every electricians tool bag or has been at some time in his career. Electrician's Handbook of Formulas and Examples is another. Excellent material. Good Luck. E= IxR thats always a good start.
