Ideal In-Sure Push-In Connectors

Does anyone know why these are rated for up to #12 solid but only up to #14 stranded when bare copper? And, why #12 stranded is OK if it tin bonded? At first I though it was because the #12 stranded was just a tad bigger than the solid but the tin bonded conductors would be just as big wouldn't they?

Don't the un-tinned strands tend to get bunched up when inserted?

It probably has to do with the internal design of whatever makes contact with the conductor. Obviously what ever your talking about was redesigned to be different from the standard stab locks.
