Looks like a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok... Bad news !
FPE StabLoks lost their UL listing years ago.

Oh, i meant throw them away.
For some reason my hoard doesn't seem to dwindle much. I have a couple of guys come by for obsolete items, mainly for parts..

Oh, the suggestion and the link was more of a joke than anything else..
Like many here, i wont retrofit, work on, or clean one of these. Replacement only.(when i did it, I quit working)

Thanks but think I'm going to stay away from that one. Telling the homeowner time for a panel upgrade.
As impetus, have them check their homeowners insurance policy. Some of them will have a rider or exclusion that basically says if there is an FPE panel, they might not cover the cost if any electrically caused fire.
