IEC apprenticeship Test-out

Just was wondering if anyone knew what was on there or if anyone has taken it? I took electrical classes at my community college and worked with an electrician part time. my classes were electrical theory 1 and 2, blueprint reading, National electric code, commercial wiring, and residential wiring.

I can find stuff in the code book somewhat easily, and my formula usage parallel/series. or 3 phase is pretty good

thanks

FES,
Your post concerns me. What type of information are you looking for? I am an apprentice also and I will be starting my fourth year in September. I have had some previous training like yourself and I could have tested out of one or even two of my training classes. But here is the deal, we as apprentices sometime start to think we know more then we really know just because we can work through some formulas. Now don't think I am selling myself short. I consider myself to be an intelligent person and I'm sure you are as well. But there is so much you (we) don't know. I guess what I am getting at is this. If you go through all four years of App. training and only learn one thing every year then you did good. It is important you understand what I am trying to say because if you think the learning stops after you complete App. training then you are wrong my friend. That is when the real learning begins. Be patient, and understand what you learn. Welcome to the form.
