IEC COLOUR CODE..

Hello Gentlemen: Can any of you folks advise me as to the wiring colour code for IEC/EU/UK wiring ? i.e. what is colour for A phase, B phase, c phase plus neutral .. sysyem is 400V/230Y for a piece of imported machinery my contractor customer is hooking up. I already got him a transformer for 240 Dalta to 400Y/230, now he just wants to hook it (the machine) properly. Thanks, Jim Green .

The new EU ( and i am sad to say UK) Harmonised Colours (colors) are Brown (A phase) Black (B Phase) Grey (C Phase) with Blue being Neutral.

Earth is standard Green/Yellow

I know that Black used to be Neutral over here but now that we are in Europe its become a phase conductor. We have been promised that no one will be electrocuted by mixing them up, honest.
