IEC standard for area classification?

Will someone please tell me which IEC standard to use for actual dimensions of area class zones (distance from flammable source)?

I am familiar with NFPA standards but completely new to IEC.

The very high cost of the IEC standards is appalling, so I do not want to get the wrong one.

I can't answer your question, but I'm curious as to the reason you need for IEC. Is the project outside the U.S.? Project specification requirement?

IEC 60079-10-01

Just for my curiosity, where do you plan to use it? It is pretty much incomplete without the entire IEC 60079 series.
