If the building is of wood truss/wood beam construction, do I still need to bond the XO of a transformer to a steel column for a building steel bond, or am I okay with just a cold water bond?

You will have to run a GEC from the XO all the way to the buildings grounding electrode system in. Only the first five feet of water line in the building is part of the GES.

Next dumb question:

if I already have a ground running from the main gear which is tied to the grounding electrode at the gear, does my water bond still need to be within 5' of the entrance?
