.......... I've found some on ebay. I bought one of five available sets just now.

If you're not familiar with LSD, they were the company that first brought fish-sticks to market. Their original sticks were ~1/8" diameter, so they were very fragile. 25 years ago, I bought a set of 5, and have been nursing them along. I've lost one stick along the way, and another has splintered on one side so I've filed that section down, but that merely weakens it. LSD does not sell those 'thin' sticks any more because they're so brittle and easy to break. They're making them 1/4" like everyone else does now. I called LSD about 5 years ago and they said they tossed all the 1/8" sticks in the dumpster when they started making the 1/4" thick ones.

So for the past 4 or 5 years, I've been on the hunt for some original 1/8" sticks to augment my current 3.5 sticks, and behold........ this past weekend a set came up for sale on ebay. The sellers ebay name is da-bird1. I contacted them to verify these are the original 1/8" kits, and they are. So i snagged 'em up. And from what I gather, they have (at the time of this posting) 4 more sets for sale. Here's one of their listings.

If you have a set of 1/4" sticks and wish you has something more flexible, I'd urge you to look into grabbing a set. They have a variety of kits, some with eggbeaters and chains, others don't. If you do get some, remember....... they are bery thin and far more vulnerable to breaking and splitting than the thick ones available now, but they're well worth considering.

Please note: I am in NO WAY affiliated with this seller. I am not compensated for posting this. I'm just tossing this out in case anyone is interested into checking this out more.

I've splintered one of the 1/4" ones. I wrapped some tape around it and now it's very flexible like stranded wire vs. solid.
