Illegal MC straps?

Has anyone ran across any caddy 6MF straps for MC cable? I saw one the other day and it appears illegal. It holds the cable off the face of the stud LESS than 1". Am I missing something?

Am I missing something? What does the 1? have to do with anything? Could you explain your thoughts in a little more detail, please?

I believe he is pointing out that we need to be
1 1/4 inches from a stud.We use caddy cj6 for that.Would like to see a 6mf.What do they claim it to be for ?

I agree with necbuff that this particular caddy clip has limited use.

The 6MF is Fig. 4 and it is described as a "3/8" conduit or BX to metal stud" for "Positioning Only

IMO it would violate 300.4(D) in most all applications.

Bless my heart, Grandpa once that it is better to be quite and thought a fool than to open mouth and let it be known.
Guess I should have looked before I leaped.
I ?DO? fully understand now and sit here with face all red looking at my feet.

less than 5 sec.
drive onto metal stud , squeeze holder with channel locks, go to next one.
