Idiot drywall installers that nick your wires cutting out boxes because their Roto-zips don't have guards anymore.

Very fresh on my mind.

Another good tip. I saw your response to my other query and I appreciate that. I'm just going to wait til the morning to bump it up and see if anybody during the day can help me.

Small sizes of heat shrink tubing work well too;)

Yea I hate that too. I had the wires completly severed once.

"All you gotta do is JUST..." My reply;"So all I have to do is ignore the code,
the life span of the install, and all disregard for human safety?" This should be
easy.Sign here.

Only once? Lucky man....

Sometimes I'm just glad they cut the boxes out at all. The project I'm working on now has had at least 15 boxes or wires buried behind the sheetrock.

or how much they have wrapped up in their schooling. Probably alot more than most electricians or inspectors or engineers.

thats really my point, its not always the material that you are paying for on a job. You are paying for knowledge (formal education, and what is learned over time in the field), equipment, tools, insurance, etc.... the price of the little dab of stainless steel wire and adhesive is minimal over the cost to have braces installed (even if it is medical grade).

I don't see what's so cheap about sub-panel's or main panels for that matter from home depot or lowes. They're UL listed aren't they? As long as they are wired correctly and installed properly then it's all good.
As long as they have what you need. From what I've seen, they don't have much. Unless you're just replacing some switch and receptacle covers.

That is true. Plus their insurance, and mal practice. I think they have to have more CEUs than ECs and EEs and their classes are more expensive. On the plus side, there's the ODA Convention this weekend, which usually means there will be classes for them available, plus an OSU game!

wow I drove a few ground rods but never seen it come back up anywhere.

I hate the ko levels in a disconnect. WHere you have 1/2 in the center then 3/4 and 1 inch in the same hole. I have it when I want the 1/2 inch to come out and here comes the sliver that makes it 3/4. I just go grrrrr.

So carry a few pairs of reducing washers. We have an assortment for just such 'emergencies.'
