I hoping to own a MEP or A/E firm one day. One of my most trusted friends is a mechanical engineer, and I'm architectural enginering who will be a PE. I also have an architect friend who's willing to make a partnership out of it.

My question, is there any advice on what I should do in regards to my electrical portion. I'm really excited, and ready for hard work, but I'm willing to sacrifice so I can feel good putting out a sensible product.

If we all are in this together...it will be 2 guys, a girl, and an A/E "shop".

I know corny, corny!! :)

Diversify and obtain as much experience as possible. Do not limit yourself to say just commercial wiring. Go after some industrial. Finnaly once you get your own firm and have to hire people, hire people smarter and more ambtious than you are.

Project Management Professional certification. Vilanova has the best program in the country and is availible one line.
