Sub-station and Transmission Inspector
Minimum 2 years experience in inspection of overhead transmission lines.
Other in the field experience apply.
• Inspectors must be capable of understanding sub-station and transmission construction and assuring compliance with industry and PG&E standards, engineered drawings, and applicable codes
• Inspectors must possess the ability to converse and transmit ideas, concepts and directions to various audiences and maintain a good client relationship
• Inspectors will be responsible for project documentation including daily inspection reports and photographs
• Must be able to read plans, specifications, circuit drawings and be familiar with the National Electrical Safety Code
• Inspector should be able to utilize primary computor programs, e-mail, word, excel and adobe acrobat. Training will be provided on BVnet data base
• Must be able to write and type clear concise reports and upload photos from camera
• Inspectors must have valid drivers license, good driving record, and insurance
• Applicant will need to pass a drug screen test, and provide documentation of right to work.
• Inspectors will be assigned to projects located in central to northern California. Work is temporary, through December, but could become permanent. Inspectors will need to be willing to work 7 days/week, 10 hours/day. California overtime rates are applicable.
• Per Diem will be paid, rate to be determined.
