Impact Notice....

Yep, for the 1st time ever, we are in need of an Impact Notice...anyone have a template they can share?

Notification that lack of action by the GC will cause a delay in our schedule...

i.e. - they have been sitting on a CO for a week and we won't proceed until we receive written approval...

I just write a letter to the GC and CC all others that may be in the loop such as the Architect, Engineer, other trades that may be affected, etc...

It's not that important to use a particular form as it is to create a paper trail that can be presented if things go to arbitration.

People hate form letters.

Just send them a polite note saying the job is being held up due to their inaction on the C.O.
I Think you also need to state how the lack of attention is actually going to impact the job and Schedule. If you are not detailed they(GC ARC,PO ) could come back and say your actions did not impact the timeline or progress of the job. Be specific and Legitimate and CYA. Also be careful not to piss them off.
