imperial breaker panels

During an inspection today I found an Imperial Breaker panel form the mid 70s.
I am not familiar with these.
Are they considered obsolete due to there age?
Are there any documented problems with these panels that may be a safety issue?

Are you sure you were not looking at a I-T-E Imperial Corp. panel? In 1976 Gould Inc. bought them and in later years sold them to Siemens-Allis (about 1984) becoming ITE Electrical Products, they are under the Siemens name now.

you are probably right, the only thing I can read on the tag is imperial

Siemens breakers go in that panel now. Exact replacements.
