In ground PB Splices

They are asking for this heat shink for the splices. Obviously you would have some sort of connector then heat shrink over it, correct?

Cold shrink is good too. Rated for direct burial as well.

We use quite a bit of that or similar.

I prefer non reversible compression butt splices but have used set screw when the conductors are to big for my tool and the repair was needed yesterday.

They use em here for direct underground utility secondary splices and on the handles of high leverage Klein's instead of the red shrink handles.

They are fast and easy. No torch required.
