I saw this last weekend. 6000 sq ft house. Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. It is exhausted outside, with a muffler. Runs off of home heating oil. The realtor said it lights up 1/2 the neighborhood when it runs. Not that I cared to explain a transfer switch to her.... But it's pretty cool non-the-less.
In fact, I'd love to have 1 ! Can't imagine how loud it is in a basement, but they had a fresh air vent.

Sounds like the Local POCO waoild be interested in knowing about it. Sounds like it needs to be properly re-installed before it kills someone. In addition, I would not want to be in the postition of knowing about such a hazard, but failing to report it.
