That's because it is not just obsolete, but the components to repair them are now obsolete too. So when they die, they cannot be repaired. I would take the opportunity to upgrade (although, delivery times are horrible right now).

This should be a cautionary tale for those that put off upgrading when a part goes obsolete...

All,

I am in search of an AB 1336-BDB-SP39D board for a 250HP 1336 plus VFD. It has been very difficult to locate these obsolete parts.
You might be in luck. We have some AB 1336's at the mixed liquor building here at the City of Tuscaloosa, Wastewater Treatment Plant. I do not know the HP rating, but we do have a AB 1336. I'm about to stop out of my office to end a generator start-up at one of the water side's booster stations. I can be reached at joseph.rhodes@tuscaloosa.com or (205)248-5925.

Thank you for the response. We found a good source with Do supply in Raleigh, NC. I would recommend them if you needed parts in the future.

Awesome deal, I've used Southland Electrical out of Burlington, NC when looking for discontinued or obsolete parts. We recently had an EOL type incident happen at one of our lift stations that utilized three westinghouse contactors, the JB11 auxiliary contact blocks were nearly impossible to find until I crossed by Southland Electrical. Those people hooked us up with what we needed.
