I installed an emergency disconnect for a propane tank pump. At my bosses orders I had to install it 150 feet away and the conduit run was in a parking lot. I was told to bury it at 12 inches and I used rigid and I requested tape to protect the conduit request denied. I just did it just to keep the peace but I protested annimately to no avail

Your working and getting paid. In times like this it is best not to rock the boat. Follow the orders and let the problems be his. Point out what you think is wrong to the boss and leave it up to him.

If someone could get hurt, you are the professional who did the work and knew better. How would you feel?
Ethics are lacking in our industry. It is up to us The Professionals to make sure things are done properly and ethically.

In sight for this application is 50 feet, is it not. . . .
Maybe, maybe not.

There has to be a disconnect within sight of the motor. The definition of ?within sight? does include a limit of 50 feet. But nothing requires that local disconnect to be able to function as an emergency shutoff. It is there for maintenance purposes. So if the emergency disconnect you installed is the only disconnect, and if it is 150 feet, then you might have a violation.

I say ?might have a violation,? because there is an exception that I believe could be applied to your situation. See 430.102(B). It could be argued that placing the disconnect too close to the motor would present a hazard, due to the nature of the pump (propane being an explosive hazard). You may also meet the second condition (industrial installation, written safety procedures, qualified persons, etc.).
. . . underground required burial in a parking lot is 24 inches. . . .
Table 300.5 confirms your statement.
. . . and rigid conduit should be wetherered . . . .
I don?t know what that means, so I can?t help here.
