In which version of the NEC were GFCI (Ground Fault) devices first required?

The first was for underwater pool lighting in the 1968 code. I believe that was a Class B GFCI that is no longer available.
Outdoor dwelling unit receptacles required GFCI protection in the 71 code, but with an effective date of 1/1/73.

Outdoor dwelling unit receptacles required GFCI protection in the 71 code, but with an effective date of 1/1/73.
My chart shows dwelling GFCI for outdoors was required at same time as Construction sites (not Gen Sets), Marina, Boatyard, Storable Pools, and Outlets within 15ft of Water.
