The deal to avert a government shutdown starting Friday night includes a provision that prevents the Department of Energy from spending any money to implement or enforce the energy efficiency standards for light bulbs that is set to start going into effect for 100-watt bulbs in 2012.

It already started here in Ca. NO more 100 watt regular Incandescent bulbs. I think all bulbs are reduced a bit in wattage. This is such crap like a person who needs more light is not going to get it.

They are supposed to be 100 watts @ whatever voltage is marked on them.

Some will be marked 120 volts, some 125 there are also 130 volt lamps.

If voltage applied does not match lamp voltage they will vary.
