Indiana NEC Code

Currently in Indiana we are still using the 2008 NEC code book for standards. Is there anyone here that has some insight on when it is expected that they will adopt a newer code? When adopting a new code do they typically stay 3 years behind or do they adopt the newest standard to date? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I would call the electrical board and see if they have any info. I suspect if they adopt a newer code it would be the latest with some amendments.
