All,

I'm relocating a dryer receptacle approx. 24" lower than it sits now. I have some 10-2 wire, but I need a fourth conductor. Can I run a fourth 10g conductor for the second hot leg (stripped from some extra 10-3) alongside the NM cable? Or do all four need to be on the sheathing? The local Lowes doesn't sell 10-3 by the foot.

Thanks,
Lou
