Indoor Air Handler Units

Does any conduit coming down to an air handler unit need to be changed over to flex before hitting the outside of the unit. Whether that be for power, fire alarm, or controls.

Is the air handler mounted on springs or vibration isolators? if so then a flexible method is required
Many use a flexible wiring method for connecting as it is easier.
