I was talking to a guy about where his service panel was installed in his custom home. It is in a laundry room area that has a door to the entrance of that room. He said that he was told if he keeps that door on that room it will not pass final inspection. Unless he puts an disconnect out side of the home. I have looked at article 110.26 and the only thing I see where a interior door is mentioned has to do with the size of the door opening which is not less than 24" article 110.26(2) Is what he was told correct or not. Could this be an regional code for Colorado ?

Ask the inspector for the code section. I have never heard this before.
