Industrial Cord Length

I work in a industrial foundry in Iowa. Im having troubles deciding if
what ive done is code true. We install a used portable type horizontal
bandsaw. Running on 480 Vac. Because of the position they wanted it sitting
and everything else involved the Cord which is SOO and 480 vac twistloc plug
are a bit on the long side. Around 10feet. What is the correct code and
where do i find it. I dont have a new 2011 update. Thanks for your time Mark

Article 400 is what you want but I don't believe there is a limitation on length.

Thanks, thats what i thought as for how i read thing however I was called on it so I wanted to be sure.

No code limit that I recall either. The design will determine the length limit.
