I will be performing a GFCI Audit for a customer in an industrial application.
-They are concerned about immersion baths and parts washers not being GFCI protected.
210.8 doesn't seem to be answering this question for me. What can be considered a "sink" outside of a kitchen in a commercial application? There are metal parts that could become energized, but it is a fixed amount of fluid in the "baths".
-They also have booths they use to wash down parts with a typical garden hose that have no gfci protection and NEMA Type 1 enclosures within 6 feet.
What area around the equipment would need to be say NEMA 4 or 4X, 12 or 13? 300.6(D) doesn't quite give a specific measurement, does the entire area become considered a wet location?
-They also have equipment fed with a permanent non-potable water supply.
Is there any GFCI requirements for this type of equipment under 250V?
Thank You,
