I am currently in the process of bidding a project in which the plant wants to get a federal tax rebate for their lighting system I know that you must be within 20% savings of energy but I dont know much more. Also I need a way of calculating how many lights to install to get them their savings can anyone help?

have you called your local electrical power company, I am in wisconsin and we have companies here that they only do rebates and savings for customers. If your in wisconsin i could hook you up..you might also try your lighting distributor... I hope your going with LED lights.. I just did this for a hospital and the lights are about 500 bucks each but it cut there electric bill down about 60 percent. on that job it was 120,000 bucks and they got 10,350 dollars back from the goverment for doing this.but they wont have to change a lamp for 15 years minimum.what a savings on maintenance....
