Ok guys. I am going to make this brief. I want to install various labels on our panels here where i work; "Industrial manufacturing plant". You know the danger high voltage, 480 volts, 480/277 volt, danger power from more tan one source. Basically identify on the outside of the panel door what the voltage is and so on. You know the orange stickers with black letters. Plus labels like lp1, lp2, m2 and so on. My boss doesn't want to do it because he says its too expensive and not required. HELP! Anything in the code, or osha, or nfpa or anything?

110.22
225.37
230.2(E)
368.21
490.21(A)(3)

...to name a few places to check.

The handbook on CD is very handy for something like this.

Re: Industrial panel voltage labels

Well I have learned that the sign has to state the danger and the action required.

"High Voltage" is not enough,

"High Voltage
Keep Out"

Is more appropriate.
