Do you have even a WAG of what kind of kVA is existing and what kind of kVA will be added?
What I am getting at is if you have a large service already and are adding only a 10 hp load you probably get away with it even if the existing is being pushed to it's limits. But if you are adding a 100 hp motor that can make a big difference.
