Hi,
I have a an ITE 600 Amp Service Box 480V Y config with two (2) pre-configured 200 Amp 480V breakers, (both FXD63B200). I need to add another 200 amp 3-pole circuit but the largest available 3 pole in the common breaker area is 100 Amp, BQD3100. Is there a code compliant way to use three single pole breakers to accomplish this or are we looking at having to install a sub-panel? Seems a waste of a big service center to have to do this having never used any of the BQD breaker area. Why do they not sell a BQD3150 or a BQD3200? Seems odd that a box this size does not have the breaker availability in BQD. Any guidance is genuinely appreciated.
