he said they don't meet 406.9.b1
He said my offer does not count until stem wall is pored even though footer is poured and the rebar was marked good as a GE
he then said
Electrical equipment adjacent to or that will be attached to the building shall not be energized until the roof sheathing has been installed 110.3A9, 110.27B, 408.20

I framed it 1" from the building so contractor can Frame building then we can remove my wood and just slap it in place---- its all 3R What is his problem----

does he have a leg??? Am I wrong?

I think I am on his hit list for some reason? I already took one inspector to the state I may do another. This same guy told me once well your right but if you don't do what I say ill look into building codes and lets see if the building was approved. SO he kinda a dick

He had another one- that one of my guys did miss something so I fixed it but then tried to say that the 2" ridged looked like Plumping pipe so change it----- I am still dealing with that----- I did not touch it- and No pipe marking and good luck finding if its electrical or plumping ridgid pipe-

another local inspector that I like told me the state inspector said if he did not touch it and it was passed not his problem.

That appears to not be in-use rated, though the wording says it is, yet at the end it says N/A (not applicable) that’s probably why he failed you.

says its compliant to 2014 Compliant (article 406.9A)
406.9.b1
b) If the device is attended while in use (e.g. a portable tool being actively used), the enclosure only needs to be weatherproof when the plug is removed

Its for a temp pole were it will be attended while in use----- its not a permeant set up this is what that (b) is referring to

AM I wrong in my iterpetation---- you know what makes me mad the county inspector never call and talk with you-- just deny and never answer calls-- local towns guys do---- No wonder permitting a joke

That sucks but I don't even try to put non in use covers on we don't even stock them on the vans or shelves. Doesn't mean he should be so difficult especially since the receptacle probably had a WR gfi anyway.

The other stuff is all super silly like you're just trying to use this as a temp service they can keep and if it was 20 ft away he'd had no problem im sure.

Were you out there when he came or was there one of the gc guys? Might have been avoidable if someone was out there to calm him down.

I was trying to save a buck and that got me-----No one was there------ The service is framed out were it will land when walls build I have no idea why that's an issue- but l bark first then calm so I was wrong on the covers---- still think he got nothing on the other 2

I agree on the other issues maybe talking to him about the other stuff and saying to swapped to in use cover he might approve it quick and you can move on. As annoying as he was if you can get him to like your company it'll smooth over silly stuff. I'm sure he's as annoying to your competitors so getting some positive communication might set you apart.

I just texted him that I did not see the N/A and ill change them, but what is problem is posed by the other two issue- Ill be lucky to see what he says.... sometimes its not even him and another fill in inspector just uses his name so I griping to the wrong guy....

I suspect most don't fight- you win some you lose some--- if he can't take me challenging his ruling then that's petty, ill eat the sole of my shoe when I am wrong would hope he does same
