Hi,
I am a homeowner who is planning a permitted self-install of a new electric wall heater and thermostat off of an existing branch circuit.
I'm confused about how far to take the work pre-inspection. The Seattle inspections website says not to cover the work. Does that mean I can install the box for the thermostat and wire everything together, but not push the wiring and thermostat into to the box until post-inspection? What does "cover" mean in this case?
I called the inspector's office for advice but they are closed for a holiday, and I am itching to work on this over the weekend.
Thanks in advance!
