I’ve been tasked with doing inspections to be submitted to an insurance company.
Large industrial facilities with office and maintenance buildings also.
Anyone have a template they use for this?

Thanks

I think I would ask the insurance company just what it is they expect the inspection to cover. They may have some kind of form already.

I don’t have a template, but I wanted to add a comment that is somewhat relevant…. Maybe

Sometime within the last six months I had a lady call me and ask if I could do inspections in Florida, the purpose of which according to her had something to do with mortgage lending. It almost sounded like it was to verify the property was being maintained.

Anyway, I said sure and emailed her with my information. She emailed back and asked for a pic of electrical license…. I told her to go on the DBPR website and look it up. Again she insisted for a clear photo of it or either SCAN A COPY AND MAIL IT TO HER. Told her I couldn’t help her. She emailed/called a few more times asking when I would send it and wouldn’t take her calls. She also sent an email saying she had “hundreds” of these for me to do if I’d just sent her the license.

Anyway. Just a heads up for folks. Don’t fall for it.

Scam for sure. Not sure what the angle is as because as you say, license info is easily obtained through public channels. As a multi state license holder myself, I get a fair number of scam emails and phone calls regarding my licensing but this is a new one to me.

I felt like they were going to use my # to file their own reports, I just don’t know why they’d want the picture. Possibly to photoshop and hope the lenders wouldn’t actually check the lic. # against the database? Or to make their own copy and say we are their qualifying agent.

How hard would it be for them to take a sample of the license and just paste your information into it? I suspect there is more to it.

Couldn’t be that hard. I can’t figure out exactly what they were up to, but it was a definitely a red flag conversation.

I would guess they were going to use you as a qualifier, and whoever is downstream in the process requires a copy of the qualifier's license.
